Object description

Följande beskrivning från odaterad instruktionsbok (digital resurs): ”The BAUER SELECTON II O is a high efficiency 16 mm sound projector suitable for permanent installations. It is constructed to the same high standard as our famous 35 mm equipment. This ensures that the projector can be operated over long periods under the most stringent conditions and for many hours a day without difficulty.

The projector can be installed in any location where large screen 16 mm projections Is required and, it is particularly suited to the needs of schools and similar establishments where continuos projection is needed without constant attention. The BAUER SELECTOR II O can also cope adequately with the special demands of Duplicating Studios, Radio and Television Stations and advertising agencies.

A further porrf of the high standard of performance of this machine is that it can be used to illuminate a CinemaScope screen of 36 feet in width. There are two types of lamphouses available.

The HI carbon arc lamp för LI or HI carbons or the Xenon arc lamp with 1000 watt Xenon tube.

The BAUER SLECTON II O is produced in three differend models:

Type SL 3 for projecting optical track sound film

Type ST3 för projecting both optical and magnetic track sound film

TYPE SM 3 for projecting optical and magnetic track sound film and for magnetic sound recording. This machine is particularly useful for recording your own sound track.

Both models SL 3 and ST 3 can be converted by supplementation in the SM 3 model.

The design of this projector is such that the exacting requirements of modern sound film projection is satisfied to a degree. The component parts embodied in this projector ensure long working life and faultless reproduction of both sound and picture. Perfect cooperative working between light, sound, optic and mechanism has been achived.

*The machine is fitted with the superb Maltese Cross movement complete with automatic circulatory lubrication. This ensures a smooth and east movement of the film and reduces film wear and tear to the absolute minimum.

* Movement is actuated by a sturdy and reliable A. C. motor using a flexible rubber coupling. This produces a frame speed of 24 F.P.S. but can be modified as necessary for either 24 or 16. F.P.S.

* Film can be easily laced as the film path is entirely visible.

*Film spools of 5,000 ft can be used with the special load dependant friction take up arm.,

Careful pre-selection of raw material coupled with the highest precision during manufacture, form the basic conditions under which this machine is produced. Stringent tests of all component parts guarantee faultless production and durability.
